"The artist Ai Weiwei must be released," Westerwelle told a press conference.

"We clearly support the freedom of artistic expression and freedom of expression." This is why we have the Chinese Ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a meeting to clearly express this point of view. ?

Artificial intelligence, 53, has not been in contact with his family since Sunday and his mobile phone has remained off the coast on Wednesday morning.

It seems AI, a combative critic of the Communist Party and a well-known contemporary artist, has joined a list of dozens of dissidents and activists in detention or informal care recently.

Officials and police have made no comment on his case.

To the United States, Great Britain, Germany and other Governments have already denounced the detention of IA and growing use of China of extrajudicial detentions against dissidents.
